Hey,
I'm Keyali.
Hey there! I’m Keyali—a photographer, writer, and creative director based in Denver, CO, but constantly on the move, with frequent stops in LA, Portland, Seattle, and beyond. My journey behind the camera began with my first concert (One Direction in Toronto!), and I haven’t looked back since.
I thrive on the unpredictable nature of live music and pet photography, capturing those raw, unscripted moments that make every shoot unique. Live shows and pets both come with their surprises, and that’s what I love most—the energy, the personality, the unexpected shots you get from being in the right place at the right time.
Now, I’m getting my feet wet with portraits, diving into the world of capturing people’s stories in a more intimate setting. It’s been an exciting shift, adding a new level of creativity and connection to my work.
As Creative Director at Next Wave Magazine, I work with emerging artists, combining my love for music with storytelling through photography and writing. Whether it’s a concert, a portrait, or a session with a furry friend, my goal is always to capture the honest, in-between moments that make each shot feel special.
If you’re looking to bring a vision to life, let’s make it happen! I’m always up for an adventure, and I’d love to see where we can go with your story.
From Fangirl Beginnings
Growing up, I was the ultimate fangirl, complete with posters plastered on my walls and an obsession with every band I loved. My journey truly began when I attended a One Direction show in Toronto in 2015. I even got my passport at 16 just for that experience! The electric energy of the crowd and the thrill of live music ignited my passion.
With a small Nikon point-and-shoot camera in hand, I started capturing those unforgettable moments at concerts. Those blurry, raw images were my first attempts at photography and fueled my desire to freeze the chaos and excitement of live shows. As I progressed and upgraded to a Canon EOS Rebel T7, I immersed myself in concert photography, embracing the unpredictable nature of music and the stories behind each performance.
Now, as the Creative Director at Next Wave Magazine, I combine my love for music and storytelling by championing emerging artists through photography and writing. The fangirl in me remains alive, and I still feel the same rush walking into a venue with my camera. For me, photography is about capturing the magic of live music and sharing that feeling with others, reminding us all of the joy and connection that music brings.
